With Geneva just around the corner, next week is going to be awesome. And to prove my point check out the 2009 BMW Alpina B7 Bi-Turbo. Based on an BMW M7, the car is a great mix of power and lux. With a powerful twin-turbocharged, 4.4-liter V8 engine that sports 507 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque, it’s supposed to reach 60mph in 4.7 seconds and peaks (electronically) at 173 mph (that’s 280km/h). Although we don’t have all the details, we’re expecting it to hit the floors with an aggressive design, uprated brakes, suspension components and a reworked interior for a comfortable ride.

Bugatti Centenaire

bugatti-veyron-goldCelebrating their amazing heritage with over 100 years of experience in building supercars, Bugatti is expected to continue the legend and bring in a new concept for the next week’s Auto Show in Geneva. Dubbed Bugatti Centenaire (great name isn’t it?) it’s not a pimped or facelifted Veyron, but actually a new design that uses a crazy 8.0 liter, 16 cylinder (W16) quad-turbo Bugatti engine that is rumored to output a stunning 1350 hp. None of these have been confirmed yet, but we’re pretty sure the Bugatti stall will be on fire this year. The Frenc definitely know how to make the most of the ultra-luxury brand’s birthday.

This year’s Geneva Auto Show definitely wants to ignore the bad economy that keeps going down like there’s no bottom. And like many others, Aston Martin won’t relax this year. Lately they’ve been busy with announcing their 16th convertible in the brand’s 95 years history – the new Aston Martin DBS Volante. An amazing combination of luxury and muscles, the car features a retractable fabric roof and delights its passagers with a Bang & Olufsen’s BeoSound 13-speaker sound system, an integrated iPod connector, an USB connector and a Hard Disk Drive satellite navigation system. As for what makes the new Aston Martin DBS Volante that powerful, there’s a 6.0-litre V12 engine under the hood that promises 510 hp and 570Nm, sends it naught to 100km/h in 4.3 seconds and tops at 307 km/h. If anyone needs to put our names on a test drive list, we’re in. Looks like an amazing ride …
